Today Singapore startup dltledgers disclosed a $12 million trade finance transaction involving a cross-continent shipment for agribusiness firms Cargill and Agrocorp, involving Rabobank and others. This wasn’t a blockchain pilot since the dltledgers supply chain platform has been in production for 18 months and has processed more than $3.3 billion of deals. To date, much of dltledgers’ trade has been focused on Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia. This transaction was for a wheat shipment from North America to Indonesia.
The enterprise blockchain solution enables all participants to have a shared view of the progress of the shipment as it travels across the globe. Given the current disruptions around the world, that transparency is essential. But the biggest win is the commodities trade took five days to settle on April 1st, compared to up to a month.
“Consensus-driven smart contracts in this deal minimized our time spent on processing

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — Malaysia’s top cop’s remarks yesterday that the movement control order (MCO) could possibly be extended to June is just his personal opinion, as the government’s decision whether to extend such an order would depend on the Health Ministry’s views, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today.
Ismail Sabri was asked to comment on Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador’s remarks yesterday on a possible extension of the MCO to June if Malaysians remain stubborn in complying with the MCO.
“About the statement made by the inspector-general of police, that may be his view, but whatever it is, the decision whether to extend or not, it depends on the Health Ministry’s advice,” Ismail Sabri said during a press conference

Ad-Aware has faced its ups and downs over the past few years, shimmying in and out of relevancy. Though last year’s version was an overall improvement over its prior incarnations, our review staff had ultimately concluded that there was still some maturing to do if Lavasoft was aiming to reclaim the throne as top security honcho.
Gone is the Vipre scanner that powered it before and Ad-Aware now comes primarily powered by Bitdefender’s core security engine and with added perks and utilities.
The installation process isn’t exactly short when you include the extra download time to grab the virus definitions but it’s not unbearable. Like many other security programs before it, Ad-Aware does come bundled with an in-house toolbar; but before you go on snickering in disgust, it’s actually a surprisingly useful utility.
The toolbar add-on is one of the least obnoxious things we’ve ever used among browser bundles. Granted
Vanguard Treasury Money Market
fund has closed to new investors for the first time in more than a decade.
The fund (ticker: VUSXX) was closed to new shareholders Thursday, but existing shareholders can make purchases without limits, according to Vanguard, which manages $5.3 trillion in global assets.
Last month the $39.5 billion Treasury fund brought in a record $7.3 billion of cash, according to Lipper Refinitiv, as investors crowded into safer investments during the severe market volatility. Overall, government money-market funds accumulated $901 billion of investor cash over the six weeks ended April 15.
Just as investors flocked into government money-market funds last month, the Federal Reserve cut interest rates to zero, driving Treasury yields broadly lower and reducing the potential yield of the funds for new investors.
The last time Vanguard closed its Treasury Money Market fund was in 2009, in similar
Personal Security is a rogue anti-spyware program from the
same family as Cyber
Security. This program is promoted through the use of malware that will
install it on your computer without your permission. In order to protect itself,
this program will automatically attempt to terminate security programs that
may help to remove it. When installed, Personal Security will be configured
to start automatically when Windows starts. Once started, it will scan your
computer and display a variety of infections, but will state that it will not
remove them unless you first purchase the program. In reality, the infections
it finds are either fake or legitimate programs that if deleted could cause
problems with the proper operation of Windows. Therefore, please do not act
upon any of the files it states are infections.
Personal Security also employs numerous methods where it tries to trick you
into thinking you are infected.
